Women's Self Defense seminars
Two Women's Self Defense Seminars
are scheduled at Great Lakes Global Taekwon-do. These seminars are four
hours long and are a one time street self defense course. The course
include a booklet of information on self defense, the instructor goes over
profiles of rapist, teaches hands on techniques, and education on how to
make yourself less of a victim. The dates for the seminars are September 18,
and October 16 from 1:00-5:00pm. Cost is $50.00 to non-members of
Great Lakes Global Taekwon-do. Mention you saw the information on our
web site and receive $5.00 off the cost of the seminar. Members of
Great Lakes Global Taekwon-do may take the course for free.
Fun/Movie Night at Great Lakes
Global Taekwon-do
September 25 from 4:00-8:00 we will be having a fun night at the school.
We will be playing games and doing different activities from 4:00-5:30.
At 5:30 we will have pizza, veggies, lemonade, and other goodies for dinner.
Starting at 6:15 will be our movie with popcorn available. Total cost
is $10.00 per child, parents attending to help with children are free.

Master Terry Batch is proud to present a two
day seminar with Master Robert N. Wheatley, President of the US-ITF.
Master Wheatley is also chairman of the ITF promotions Board. You
should not miss this rare and wonderful opportunity to meet and train with
Master Wheatley, VIII Degree; a world renowned International Taekwon-do
Federation Master Instructor and technician. Distance from Sylvania,
Ohio is about 2 1/2 to 3 hours away. All training is at the Midland
Community Center (MCC)
1st event: Friday evening October 22, 2010
4:00 training room opens. Seminar for 1st degree
black belts and above specialized black belt training. $30.00 training
free.
2nd event: Saturday morning October 23, 2010
8:00 training room opens, 9:00-10:00 Master
Batch's normal Saturday beginners class.
10:00 am Seminar begins with Black Belt Promotion
testing by Master Wheatley. (Mrs. Van Zile will be testing for her 6th
degree here.) Noon to 1:00 lunch at MCC provided by Master Batch.
Main Event: Seminar continues in the afternoon October 23,
2010. 1:00 to 5:00 pm seminar for all ranks and ages. Black
belts and students be early at least 30 minutes before seminar.
seminar fee is $65.00. Those taking both seminars receive discount
cost is $85.00.

2011 Master Wheatley Seminar and
Black Belt Test
Master Wheatley will
be returning to Sylvania, Ohio this coming February 19- 20, 2011.
Master Wheatley is very well known in Taekwon-do for his excellence in the
art of Taekwon-do. Master Wheatley trained with General Choi, Hong Hi
and is pictured below with the founder of Taekwon-do. He currently
trains with General Choi's son Master Choi, Jung Hwa. We are very
privileged to have him come to Sylvania again. The weekend will begin
with a special black belt seminar on Friday with Master Wheatley from
6:00-8:00p.m. Saturday morning the event will begin with a black belt
testing from 9:00a.m.-12:00p.m.. The Seminar will begin at
1:00p.m.until 5:00p.m. with all ranks and ages welcome. Master
Wheatley is exceptional in his seminars making the material relevant to both
high and low ranks. His presentation manages to hold the attention of
even the young 5-6 year students.
We all look forward to his excellent seminars and are thrilled to have him
back again.. Other special guest will be Master Terry Batch, Master
Joe Seszko, and hopefully we will be honored again with Master Eugene
Humesky.
